NJ Blood Services To Hold Blood Drive

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - New Jersey Blood Services, which is a division of New York Blood Center, is holding a summer long blood drive event throughout the state. The drive began on June 1 and will run through August 31. The Spotswood/Monroe Township Summer Blood Drive Event will be held on Friday, June 16 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Spotswood VFW Post 4589 on 33 Daniel Road.

Donors should be in good health and between the ages of 17 and 75. Teenagers 16 years of age can donate with a signed parent consent form. Residents 76 years of age and older can also donate with a doctor's note.

All donors should bring identification that has either a signature or photo and date of birth. Participants that have a donor card are encouraged to bring that as well. Donors will receive a Six Flags Great Adventure Discount Code towards a one daily pass and daily parking. The discount value of the code is $22.

Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the blood drive. However, interested donors can call 1-800-933-2566 to set up an appointment. Appointments can also be arranged online.
