Rain Won’t Halt Somerville’s Weekend Craft Beer Fest

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Despite forecasts of rain this weekend, the annual Craft Beer Fest presented by Project P.U.B and Tapastre restaurant will be held rain or shine.

The outdoor festival, which features dozens of craft beers from breweries throughout New Jersey and beyond, is scheduled for Saturday, noon-9 p.m. and Sunday, noon-7p.m. on North Bridge Street, which will be blocked off from traffic between Main Street and High Street.

Featured events this year include a giant beer pong tournament and lBrews & Brushes painting instruction.

Admission is $15 at the door and includes a 4-ounce sample mug; samples are priced between $1 and $4. Full pours will be between $5 and $8. 

The event is cash only, no credit cards.

There will be live music on stage all day and food from local downtown Somerville restaurants including Division Cafe, Court House Sub Shop, The Good Donut Shop and Tasteofpolandnj will be among the food vendors.

Participating breweries include: Brotherton Brewing Company, Angry Erik Brewing, 902 Brewing Co., Kane Brewing Company, Allagash Brewing Company, Stone Brewing, Founders Brewing Co., Cape May Brewing Co., Three 3's Brewing, Lord Hobo Brewing Co, Sixpoint, Dogfish Head, Icarus Brewing Co., Melick's Town Farm;

Also, Tröegs Independent Brewing, Czig Meister Brewing Company, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, Ironbound Hard Cider , Downeast Cider House, Carton Brewing, Brix City Brewing, Flying Dog Brewery, Maine Beer Company & Cypress Brewing Company.

The Paint & Sip events, or Brews & Brushes  will be held throughout the event both days. These half-hour classes will include: one 12x12 canvas, all paint and supplies, step-by step guidance from a professional art instructor and three-4-ounce  samples of local craft brews. Space is extremely limited.

The event is open to all ages, only those 21 and older with ID can purchase beer. Anyone under 18 must have parental supervision. No strollers or dogs are allowed.
