MILLTOWN, NJ - A rash of car buglaries over the weekend prompted Milltown police to remind residents to lock their cars.

The Milltown Police Department is currently investigating a number of car robberies that took place over the weekend in the northwest part of the borough. Residents that live in the area of Clay Street and North Brook Drive may notice an increased police prescence as the car thefts are probed.

Cash was reportedly taken from the unlocked cars. However, other personal items inside the vehicles were not stolen.

The Milltown Police Department is reminding residents to please remember to lock their cars when they are parked on the street and in driveways. They are also encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activity to the police.
