SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Police Department issued a warning via Nixle on Friday reminding borough residents to lock both their vehicles and homes.
The warning comes in response to at least two car burglaries in the area of Spruce Street in the early morning hours of Sept. 8. Both vehicles were left unlocked and had change and cigarettes taken from them.
On July 19, 15 to 20 unlocked cars in the area of Janice Drive, Pamela Court and Karen Street were robbed of loose change between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m.
Any residents with information on the Sept. 8 vehicle burglaries or any other potential victims are urged to contact the Spotswood Police Department.
The Spotswood Police Department installed a Crimes Tip Line over the summer where residents can report information about potential crimes or ongoing investigations. The tip line can be reached by dialing 732-251-2121 and entering extension 899.
