SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Who's ready for some football? No, it's not fall yet, but registration is open for the upcoming Spotswood Recreation Department's spring Flag Football Season.

Games are played on Sunday mornings with the earliest beginning at 9:30 a.m. The season opens on April 3. The Flag Football League is for boys and girls from kindergarten through Grade 12. Participants must be five by December 31, 2015.

Each game consists of two 25-minute halves. All games are played at Spotswood High School. Referees will officiate for levels from third grade and up.

Children will be placed on teams according to grade levels. Divisions are as follows:

  • Kindergarten through grade two
  • Grades three through five
  • Grades six through eight
  • Grades nine through twelve

Divisions may need to be adjusted by the league, depending on the amount of participants at each level.

The registration fee is $35 for Spotswood residents and $45 for non-residents. Participants can be registered online at the Spotswood Recreation Deparment's website.
