Registration Open For Milltown Recreation Department's Fall Soccer Program


MILLTOWN, NJ - With August speeding by, it's time to start thinking about fall sports for the kids. The Milltown Recreation Department's soccer season is on the horizon, starting on Saturday, September 16 and running through Saturday, November 4. Parents can choose from four programs that include the Fundamental Fours and two levels that incorporate players ages kindergarten through second grade and third grade through eighth grade. The deadline for fall soccer registration is August 28.

Fundamental Four participants must be four by September 16. Players meet on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on the Albert Avenue Field. Kindergarteners through second graders take the Albert Avenue Field from 10:15 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

Play begins in the third through eighth grade level a week earlier. Participants at this level start playing on Saturday, September 9. The season concludes on Saturday, November 18. Games are played from noon until 5 p.m. on Crabiel Field on Elkin Lane. Practices are held on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., starting on September 13.

The cost for Milltown residents is $50 and $45 for each additional child. Fees for non-residents is $85. Late registration will be accepted after August 28, but only up to August 31. A $15 late fee should be added to any late registrations.

Registration forms can be downloaded at the Milltown Boro website. Forms and payment should be mailed to the Milltown Recreation Department, 39 Washington Avenue, Milltown, NJ 08850. Checks should be made payable to the Milltown Recreation Department.

Shin guards are required for all players, regarless of level.
