NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Spotswood High School cross country teams both opened up their season on Thursday with a pair of wins in a tri-meet at North Brunswick Community Park. Both the girls and boys cross country teams defeated North Brunswick and Colonia High Schools in their respective meets.

The girls cross country team defeated North Brunswick by a score of 22-33 and won over Colonia by a score of 25-30. Top finishers in Thursdays run for the girls were:

Spotswood's boys cross country team was undefeated last fall and won the Greater Middlesex Conference White Division title for the 2017 season. The team was 8-0 in 2017 and 7-1 in 2016.

The Chargers cross country teams will travel to Spring Lake Park in South Plainfield on Tuesday, September 25 for a tri-meet with South Plainfiend and Sayreville High Schools. Race begins at 4 p.m.
