SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Girl's Varisty Soccer Team dropped its home opener on September 5, losing 4-1 to South Brunswick High School.

On a sunny Saturday morning, the Chargers took the soccer field at Spotswood High School for their first game of the season.

Senior, Jessica Meagher netted Spotswood's single goal while senior, Katie Wasserman notched an assist. Netminder, Lizzie Vignuolo made eight saves for the Chargers while her counterpart, Sydney Schneider stopped seven Spotswood shots for the Vikings.

Cathlene Kaseta was the star of the game for South Brunswick, scoring a goal and adding an assist in the contest.

The Chargers finished the 2014-15 season with a 13-5-3 record in the Greater Middlesex Conference, ranking number eight. South Brunswick was ranked number two at the conclusion of last season with a 20-3 record.
