MIDDLESEX, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team claimed their fourth straight victory with a 3-1 win over Middlesex High School on Wednesday, October 4. Sophomore Chris Moran scored two goals and senior Andrew Oross netted one to improve the Chargers' overall season record to 9-5.

Yanni Hatzistefanis and Luke Tharney each notched assists in the victory. Spotswood's Andrew Bishara made seven saves on eight Blue Jay shots.

Diego Ortiz scored the lone goal for Middlesex on a pass from Rhys Lee. Chris Cuadros made seven saves on ten Charger shots.

The defending Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division champs are currently third in the conference with a 7-4 division record. Highland Park High School is first with a 9-0-1 conference record and Metuchen High School is second with a 7-3 division record.

The Chargers will travel to Iselin on Saturday, October 7 to take on John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. Game time is 2 p.m.
