SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The borough's annual September 5K will look a bit different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. This year's Spotswood 5K that is sponsored by the Spotswood Recreation Department will be a virtual one instead of an actual run through the borough. All the proceeds from the virtual 5K and fun run will go to support the Alice's CUP Food Pantry.

Residents can sign up on the Spotswood Recreation Department's website to run a 5K or a fun run distance of one mile. Participants can complete the distance on the course of their choice from any time between August 22 and September 19. The cost of the registration fees will go to Alice's CUP instead of a Spotswood High School athletic program because of the stress put on local food pantries because of the coronavirus crisis. Alice's CUP assists any Middlesex County resident in need.

The registration fee for the Spotswood virtual 5K is $20 and $15 for the one-mile fun run. Registration can be done online at the Spotswood Recreation Department's website.
