SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The schedules are up on Genesis and teacher assignments are out. So, you know that summer is waning and it's almost time for Spotswood School District students to head back to school. Why even the mayors of Helmetta and Spotswood will be joining them on the big day.

Well, they won't be pulling up a chair and a desk, but Helmetta mayor, Chris Slavicek and Spotswood mayor, Ed Seely will both be on hand to welcome kids back to classes.

The mayors will be at the Schoenly School on Thursday, September 7 during morning drop off and at the Appleby School on Friday, September 8.
