SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team took the field against one of their chief rivals Metuchen High School on Thursday. The two teams played to a 0-0 tie two overtime periods after regulation time failed to produce a goal for either Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division team. Nika Rockafeller made seven saves for the Bulldogs to keep the Chargers off the board. Senior All-Conference and All-Blue Division goalkeeper Julia Masucci stopped 11 Metuchen shots for her second straight shutout. Masucci posted 11 shutouts and had a 174-save season in 2019.

Spotswood hosts Woodbridge High School on Saturday morning at the Spotswood High School Varsity Soccer Field. Woodbridge is has an overall record of 2-2. Game time is 10 a.m.
