EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Matt Vento and Abdullah Nieskens both turned in 20-plus point games as the Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team defeated East Brunswick Tech, 91-43, on Tuesday. Spotswood outscored East Brunswick Tech 26-6 in the first quarter and 22-4 in the final eight minutes to put the game soundly out of reach for the Tigers.

Vento was the game's top scorer for the Chargers, netting 28 points. Nieskens put 23 points on the scoreboard. The senor has 271 points in 18 games this season while Vento has 295 points in 17 games. Vinnie Guardiola added eight points while Justin Dekovics scored six. Zach Mataya and Michael Harris both chipped in five while Derek Buhl and Matt Fuzesi scored four. Jordan Horowitz was the high scorer for the Tigers with 15.

The victory improves Spotswood's overall record on the season to 10-8. Spotswood is 5-5 in conference play. The Chargers will host Middlesex High School on Wednesday at the Spotswood High School Gymnasium. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
