METUCHEN, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team lost its second game of the season to Metuchen High School on Friday, September 23, 4-1. Their other loss of the season was also at the hands of the Bulldogs. Nick Moran continued his goal streak, putting the Chargers on the scoreboard in the first half on a pass from Matteo Tavella. Moran has scored at least one goal in all of the Chargers' games this season.

The Bulldogs came out for the halftime break on fire, scoring four goals in the second half. Metuchen had 20 shots on goal. Brandon Iskandar scored two goals for the Bulldogs. Jack Bradley and Sam Johnson netted the other two goals for Metuchen. Bradley also had an assist in the win for Metuchen. Alex Brooks made nine saves for the Bulldogs.

Andrew Bishara and Matt Evanego continue to split time in goal. The pair has done that for the majority of the games so far this season. Bishara made eleven saves while Evanego made seven.

The loss to Metuchen drops Spotswood's overall season record to 5-2 and also ends their win streak at five games. The Chargers will take the field on Monday, September 26 for a 4 p.m. home game against Highland Park High School.
