SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team lost in the first round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament to Metuchen, 3-2.

Spotswood was down 2-1 at the half to the seventh seeded Bulldogs. Each team scored a goal in the second half. Ryan Josell was the star of the game for Metuchen, netting two goals and notching one assist. Cameron O'Connell also had one goal and one assist. Kieren Brennemen made five saves.

Seniors Andrew Picado and John Reyes each scored one goal for Spotswood while Ed Kovalski had an assist. Zach Rodriguez made nine saves for the Chargers.

The loss drops the Chargers overall record for the season to 11-7. They are 9-5 in conference play. Spotswood was the tenth seed in the GMC Tournament.
