EDISON, NJ - After suffering two straight losses, the Spotswood High School boys varsity tennis team rebounded yesterday with a victory against Bishop Ahr High School, 4-1.

Senior Jake Engstrom continued to dominate at the first singles position, beating Duncan Merriman-Mendez, 6-1, 6-0. Engstrom is 5-0 in individual match play this season.

Second singles player Robby Nason lost another tough three set match to Rohan Tonk. Freshman Derek Miller defeated Collin Belk in straight sets while the first doubles team of Dushyant Singh and John Tobia beat Claude Alano and Jimmy Scwartz, 6-1, 6-2.

Stephen Gardner and Ryan Miller won their second doubles match by forfeit.

The win moves the Chargers overall record to 3-2. They will finish off a very busy week of matches today with an away match with Dunellen.
