SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team dropped their second straight game on January 14, losing to Arthur L. Johnson High School, 68-52. George Visconti was the difference maker in the matchup, netting a game-high 25 points for the Crusaders. Andrew Fuzesi was the top point scorer for the Chargers, scoring 14. Junior Vinnie Guardiola grabbed 10 rebounds and chipped in eight points in the loss that moved Spotswood's overall record on the season to 4-7. Justin Dekovics also scored eight while senior JT Vento added seven. Besides Visconti, the Crusaders had two other players netting double digit points. Brandon Hund scored 16 and Brendan Stanzione put 14 points on the scoreboard.
The Chargers will look to add to their win column when they travel to Robbinsville on MLK Day for a 1 p.m. game against Robbinsville High School. Thus far this season, Spotswood is 1-4 in conference play.
