SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Senior members of the Spotswood High School football and cheerleading programs were honored at this afternoon's varsity football game against St. Thomas Aquinas High School. St. Thomas came out on top with a 54-14 victory over the Chargers. The loss dropped the Chargers overall season record to 1-2. Spotswood is back on the field at home next Saturday for the team's annual homecoming game.
Homecoming will look very differently this year as will the high school Spirit Week activities that will be held virtually. Charger fans will not be able to pack the stadium for Homecoming. Spotswood's homecoming opponent is North Plainfield High School. North Plainfield had a bye week this weekend. The team is 2-0 so far this season. Game time is 1 p.m. at the Spotswood High School Stadium.
