CARTERET, NJ - Allison Clarke earned a double-double in the Spotswood High School girls varsity basketball team's victory over Carteret High School on Wednesday 58-48. Clarke dropped 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the double-double. The sophomore also blocked three shots, had two steals and notched five assists. The Ramblers Brenda Guzman was the game's hot hand. Guzman netted 20 points for Carteret.

Junior Julia Masucci was Spotswood's top scorer with 15. Masucci had four rebounds, three assists and three steals in the game. Sophomore Kiri Craig also put up double digit numbers, scoring 10 in Spotswood's victory. Giana Oelkers scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds. Senior Jessica Addesso also had six rebounds and chipped in two points. Gianna Perez scored six points and had two rebounds while Megan Devlin put three points on the board and grabbed three rebounds. Taija'Ney McCollum had 12 points for Carteret.

Spotswood's victory over Carteret moves the Chargers overall record to 7-6 and the team's Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division record to 4-4. The Chargers host Dunellen High School on Friday at the Spotswood High School Gymnasium. Tip off is at 6 p.m. Dunellen won the previous meeting between the two teams this season.
