SPOTSWOOD, NJ - MIddlesex High School tied up the game against the Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team on Friday, September 29 on a goal by Mackenzie Parkinson with 20 seconds left in the game to send the match into overtime. Angele Garcia netted the winning goal for Middlesex two minutes into OT on a pass from Aanaliyah Hernandez. Carly Santucci scored the other goal for the Blue Jays. Garcia also had an assist in the win while Danielle Cisneros notched an assist as well.

Carolina Fernandez had a goal and an assist for the Chargers. Mandee Mendex scored the other goal for Spotswood while Megan McCook had an assist in the loss.

Julia Masucci returned to the net for Spotswood, making 14 saves. Star Castillo and Kara Krivanos both spent time in goal for Middlesex. Castillo made four saves while Krivanos made five.

The loss moves the Chargers' overall season record to 5-2-1. They are 4-2-1 in conference play. The Chargers will head to Edison on Monday, October 2 to take on Wardlaw-Hartiridge High School. Game time is 4 p.m.
