EDISON, NJ - The woes on the court continue for the Spotswood High School girls varsity tennis team as the Chargers lost their fourth straight match to Bishop Ahr High School on Friday, September 15. Kaitlyn Dwyer and Ashley Murphy earned the only match point for Spotswood by winning their second doubles matchup against Bishop Ahr's Aryanna Dehghan and Cecile Molina, (6-2, 6-3). It was the first varsity win of the season for Dwyer and Murphy.

Mirit Girgis lost her first singles match to Alyssa Sierra, (6-3, 6-1) while Devin Ryan dropped her second singles match to Isabella DeMesa, (6-1, 6-3). Marina Girgis lost her third singles match to Disnie Thambugala, (6-0, 6-1). Alex Lemiere and Emily Michaels lost their first doubles matchup against Johanna Lu and Rebecca Yang, (6-1, 6-1).

Spotswood will look for their first win against Woodbridge High School on Monday, September 18 when they travel up Route 1 for the 4 p.m. match. Woodbridge is 2-2 on the season.
