SOUTH RIVER, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity tennis team won their second match in a row defeating South River High School 5-0 on Wednesday. Freshman Cyanne Chan won her first singles match over Julia Pasion, (6-2, 6-3). Axelle Lemiere defeated Maya Ragab in her second singles match, (6-0, 6-2). The first doubles pair of Angelina Moschella and Melody Dzergoski kept their unbeaten streak alive defeating Thaily Sanchez and Marianna Bernardino, (6-0, 6-0). Moschella and Dzergoski have won their first six matches this season. Spotswood's second doubles team of Chloe Donelan and Lindsey Michaels won over Ashley Castalheiro and Jennifer Tuba Tuapante, (6-0, 10-3).

The victory moves Spotswood's shortened season record to 4-2. Spotswood is back on the court on today when the team hosts South River in the second half of a home-at-home. Matches begin at 4 p.m. at the Spotswood High School tennis courts on Summerhill Road.
