Spotswood Girls Varsity Soccer Earn Shut Out

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team won its fifth straight game yesterday, shutting out Mother Seton 3-0.

Lizzie Vignuolo made three saves to keep Mother Seton off of the score sheet. It was her fourth shut out of the season.

After a scoreless first period, the Chargers blew the game open, netting three goals. Lauren Kiszkiel, Danielle Wittig and Erin Thuring all scored goals for Spotswood to improve their season record to 5-1. The ladies have been on a roll since dropping their season-opener to South Brunswick.

Catie Koenig made 12 saves for Mother Seton in the contest.

The Chargers next test will come Monday against Iselin Kennedy at home. The game begins at 4 p.m.
