MIDDLESEX, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team was shutout on Friday, September 30 by Middlesex High School, 3-0. Mackenzie Meixner netted both goals for Middlesex and Angele Gardia assisted on both of Meixner's goals. The Blue Jays' Nicole Fallon made eight saves to earn the shutout. Spotswood's Lizzie Vignuolo made four saves for the Chargers in the loss.

The loss to Middlesex drops the Chargers' overall season record to 6-3. They are 5-3 in conference play. The Chargers will next take the field on Friday, October 7 for a 4 p.m. home game against Metuchen High School at the Spotswood High School Varsity Soccer Fields.
