SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Binge-drinking, marijuana, inhalants, prescription and over-the-counter medicine abuse are all issues that are a rising concern for parents as their children enter into the teenage years. As children grow, so do the size and scope of their problems. In an effort to educate parents on the current drug trends among teens as well as provide information on prevention and educational programs available, Spotswood High School is hosting Parent Drug Information Night on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the Media Center of the Spotswood High School and it will be hosted by Detective Scott Hoover of the Spotswood Police Department and Cathy Glass of the Wellspring Center in East Brunswick. Hoover also serves as the SHS's Resource Officer.

The Wellspring Center for Prevention is a non-profit, community based organization whose goal is to "promote the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities through the prevention of addiction-related problems."
