SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Public Library is hosting a stress-relieving program aimed at helping residents manage their stress levels. Jim Rose will be on hand on Thursday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the power of meditation and its effects on relieving stress.
When left without intervention, stress is a known contributor to major health issues such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. Stress impacts both the body and the mind, causing headaches, chest pain, fatigue, stomach problems, sleep issues, anxiety, lack of motivation and more.
Rose, a retired executive from Johnson and Johnson, learned to manage his stress through meditation. He will be speaking on March 22 about the benefits of meditation as well as showing participants a simple and powerful meditation technique Rose has found to enrich all facets of his life.
Meditation has been shown to reduce stress, improve concentration. slow the aging process and even boost the immune system.
