SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Police Department is partnering with the South River Police Department and City of Angels NJ, Inc. to raise addiction awareness by hosting a Dodgeball Tournament on Saturday, February 10 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Sportika Sports in Manalapan.

The event will feature an opening ceremony, dodgeball tournament featuring a team from the Spotswood Police Department, food, recovery support, job support and vendors. Guest speakers will include addicts who are on the road to recovery thanks to help they are receiving from City of Angels NJ, Inc.

City of Angels NJ, Inc. is an independent organization located in Hamilton Township that offers recovery support, interventions, programs and more. They do not charge fees for their services and assist anyone struggling with addiction whether or not they have health insurance.

While the tournament slots are filled, the SPD is inviting residents to come out and support the event. The event is free for spectators, but donations are welcome. All the funds collected from team registration fees and donations will go to support addiction awareness in the borough as well as future recovery programs and activities.

Sportika Sports is located on 150 Woodward Road in Manalapan.
