SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Public Library announced this week that "Pete the Cat" needed to be recheduled. The original date for the Pete the Cat Extravaganza was Saturday, February 20.

A new date for fun, food and activities centered around the delightfully comic, Pete the Cat is now set for Saturday, April 23.

The character of Pete was created by artist and illustrator, James Dean. Pete was the focus of Dean's art work for many years before making his way into children's books. "Pete the Cat: I Love my White Shoes" debuted in 2008. Dean provides the illustrations while author and musician, Eric Litwin, provides the words.
