Spotswood Soccer Club Calling all Players

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Soccer Club's fall season begins on September 12. Registration is ongoing and ends on September 5.

Currently, parents and guardians can register their children online through August 31. The registration fee is $75. Late registration is from September 1 through September 5. The fee at that time is $100.

The soccer club offers a recreation league and travel programs. Tryouts for travel programs are typically in the spring prior to the upcoming fall season. The recreation program offers teams for grades pre-k through eighth. Participants must be four by October 1 in order to register.

Recreation divisions are as follows:

  • Youth - pre-kindergarten and kindergarten ( must be 4 by October 1)
  • Junior - grades first and second
  • Senior - grades third, fourth and fifth
  • Premier - grades sixth, seventh and eighth

Games are held on Saturdays with the Junior, Senior and Premier teams generally holding one practice during the week with times and days being determined by the coach. The Youth division plays for one hour on Saturdays with the first thrity minutes being devoted to skills practice and development. The four and five-year-olds will then play an organized game for the second thirty minutes.

The Spotswood Soccer Club is also in need of coaches to help with the upcoming fall season. Interested parties must have a valid Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. card. The card can be obtained by attending a coaching program.
