SPOTSWOOD, NJ - After a big win over South River on Saturday, the Spotswood High School girls tennis team was swept by Metuchen High School 5-0. Gabriela Zeron lost her first singles match to Jaimie Hong, (6-0, 6-0), while Karen Mausser dropped her second singles match to Sophie DeCoite, (6-2, 6-1). Axelle Lemiere lost both sets of her third singles match to Charlotte Hag in a tie-breaker after playing to a 6-6 tie in each set. Chloe Donelan and Lindsey Michaels lost their first doubles match to Domonique Dudley and Connie Yang, (6-2, 6-3), while Melody Dzergoski and Angelina Moschella lost their second doubles match to Maryam Beshara and Ilana Stein, (6-2, 6-3). The loss drops the Chargers' overall season record to 3-3. Spotswood John F. Kennedy Memorial High School on Wednesday at the Spotswood High School Tennis Courts on Summerhill Road.
