CLARK, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team opened their season yesterday with a 77-60 win against Johnson High school.
In the pre-season, Coach Steve Mate tabbed seniors Eric Dadika and Marlon Hart to be top point contributors on the court. The two guards did not disappoint in the season opener. Dadika netted 21 points while Hart added 20 to pace the Chargers to their first victory of the 2015-16 season.
Spotswood dominated in the second quarter, out pacing the Crusaders 17-8 to go into the halftime break with a 40-27 lead.
Junior Andrew Fuzesi also had a strong game, scoring 11 points. George Visconti was the top scorer for Johnson with 30 points.
Spotswood's home opener will be on Monday, December 21 against Carteret at 6 p.m.
