JAMESBURG, NJ - Spotswood High School's Alexandra Coghlan finished third in the Greater Middlesex Conference Cross Country Championships today. The senior completed the 5K race at Thompson Park with a time of 19:13:27. Metuchen's Rachel Suss won the race with a time of 18:52:33.

Cassandra Raia was the next highest finisher for Spotswood. Raia finished the race ninth with a time of 20:00:14. Katherine Parlitsis came in thirty-third with a time of 21:16:91 while senior Brianne Worden finished forty-seventh with a time of 22:20:39.

The girls finished fifth overall in the championship with South Brunswick taking the team title.

Sophomore Justin Dekovics finished eighteenth for the Spotswood boys cross country team. He completed the 5K race with a time of 16:46:32.  Junior Anthony Bonacci came in thirty-sixth with a time of 17:12:85. Sophomore Rich Karczewski was the next highest Spotswood finisher. Karczewski came in sixty-third with a time of 17:15:21. Junior Nick Toth finished eighty-fourth with a time of 18:31:02. Jason Chan came in one hundreth with a time of 18:49:08.

The boys team finished eighth overall in the GMC Championship. Old Bridge took the team title. Junior Rey Rivera won the individual title for the boys, winning the race with a time of 16:10:05.
