SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The overloaded backpacks will be quickly cast aside as the Spotswood School District closes its doors on Friday, June 17 for summer vacation. Graduating seniors don't need to check out their summer assignments. Most will be preparing to head to college in a couple of months after they celebrate their graduation from Spotswood High School.

However, for a majority of Spotswood students, not all the books will be pushed to the back of the closet this summer. Grades five through eight along with students that are enrolled in Honors and Advanced Placement classes at Spotswood High School have assignments to complete over the two and a half month break.

While the temptation to wait until the calendar says September is strong, parents and students can acces summer assignments now by going to the Spotswood School District website and clicking on Summer Work/Reading 2016. It is located underneath the heading for district news.
