AUGUSTA, NJ – People driving to the New Jersey State Fair or points north in Sussex County on Saturday were greeted by a rally of Trump supporters.  Peacefully holding posters, Trump  and American flags of all sizes, about 30 people stood on the side of the road at the well-traveled intersection of Route 15, Route 206 and Ross Corner Sussex Road.

Many passers-by honked their horns but that was the extent of the noise from the group.

“After (anti-Trump demonstrations in) Bedminster we decided to be here to support our president, local conservatives, Republicans and tea party supporters,” the demonstrators said all chiming in.  “We aren’t protesting anything.

“We knew this would be a visible place to be.  We just want to support our president,” they said.

They did not know that Senator Cory Booker was visiting the fair grounds that day.  They said they had come from Sussex, Bergen, Morris Counties as well as others from around the state and they would be there during the fair.
