Volunteers Needed To Help Beautify Mill Pond Park

MILLTOWN, NJ - Residents, area volunteers and civics groups are invited to come out to Mill Pond Park on Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m to lend a hand in the first NJ Clean Communities Event. This event is sponsored by the DPW/Environmental Commission/Green Team/Shade Tree Clean Up and is designed to clean up and help to beautify Mill Pond Park.

The green endeavor will concentrate on the left side of the park along the path and grassy area only. Gloves, garbage bags and recycling containers will be provided on site. Lunch and beverages will be served.

Each volunteer will receive a certificate before Thursday, June 15, but must remember to sign in with their full name in order to receive a certificate. This inaugural NJ Clean Communities Event is an opportunity for students, volunteers and Boy or Girl Scout Troops that need community service hours or are in search of community service projects.

Volunteers should park at the Milltown Borough Hall on 39 Washington Avenue and walk down to Mill Pond Park.
