MILLTOWN, NJ - Even though forecasts look as though Joaquin will head out to sea, New Jersey will still be dealing with some unpleasant weather this weekend. The wet and windy forecast has forced the cancellation of some favorite events.

The 19th annual Milltown Day was called off yesterday. Stacey Waters from the Milltown Revitalization Committee posted on the Milltown Day website that the imposing inclement weather forced officials to call off the popular community-wide event for the first time in the town's history.

Waters explained in the post that due to a combination of a number of factors, Milltown Day could not be scheduled for a later date. However, she did announce the dates for next year. Milltown Day 2016 will be held on October 1 at Boro Park with a rain date of October 2.

It will now be held on Saturday, October 10 with pre-walk fun beginning at 10 a.m. The zombie walk will begin at 4 p.m.

The Woodbury Fall Parade where the Spotswood High School Pep Band was scheduled to perform on Saturday, October 3 has also been postponed to next weekend. The parade will also be on Saturday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m.
