MILLTOWN, NJ - The borough really is the "small town with a big heart" and on July 4, Milltown is all wrapped up in red, white and blue. Fourth of July festivities start early. The kick off at 6 a.m. with the fishing derby and run until late in the evening with fireworks. However, the prep starts way before then, especially for residents hoping to be named Most Patriotic House.
For the last ten years, the borough has been finding that one resident that really has that sensational Independence Day spirit and has decked their Milltown home out in red, white and blue and beyond. Residents had to enter their house into the annual contest by filling out a form and mailing or emailing it in by June 27. Photographs of all the entrants will be taken during the day on Sunday, July 2 with the winner being announced at Borough Park on July 4 at 2:30 p.m.
The top house is voted on by the Milltown community, so residents are encouraged to take a moment to stop by the Committee tent on July 4 to cast their vote.
Stay tuned to see who will win this year's Most Patriotic crown!
