EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Interested in doing a lot of hard work and not really getting anywhere?  Take a spin class at the Raritan Valley YMCA on Tices Lane.  You will "travel" uphill, downhill, and over challenging terrain without ever leaving East Brunswick.  It's fun and musical and ever better when done for a good cause.

Last Saturday, the YMCA held its annual "Spinathon" to raise money to support kids who would not otherwise be able to attend their active summer programs.  Spinners were sponsored for $40 per hour to expend some energy for kids who needed it.

Spinners raised $3,000 to augment the summer programs - that's 75 hours of spinning on an early Saturday morning in winter.

TAPinto East Brunswick, Milltown, and Spotswood sponsored this event, along with the Northfield Bank and Carraba's Italian Grill.
