SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Mark the calendars for the Memorial Middle School Drama Club's upcoming production of "Dear Edwina Jr." on Thursday, November 21, Friday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, November 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Spotswood High School Cafetorium. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the curtain. Tickets are all general admission and are $6 per person. All Spotswood School District staff receive a complimentary ticket with their staff identification.
"Dear Edwina" was first performed in 2006 and debuted Off-Broadway in 2008. It was written by Marcy Heisler and composed by Zina Goldrich. The pair also created "Junie B. Jones the Musical." The cleverly fun musical has an intriguing show-within-a-show arrangement. Edwina Spoonable is the plucky heroine who happily gives advice to her friends courtesy of song-and-dance routines in her backyard.
Memorial's production is directed by Spotswood High School English teacher Dominic Sposato. Christina Restine, the Memorial Middle School Band Director, is the show's musical director.
