HELMETTA/MILLTOWN, NJ - Both Helmetta and Milltown kicked off the holiday season in style on Friday with their annual tree lighting ceremonies. With a December chill in the air, the lights were turned on in both boroughs and the big guy in red stopped by to visit with Milltown and Helmetta's youngest residents to officially ring in the holiday festivities. Spotswood holds its community-wide tree lighting this afternoon.

The Spotswood High School Festivus Band under the direction of SHS Band Director Sarah Carino-Koza will be playing from 4:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The official tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:15 p.m. Santa has had a busy weekend in Middlesex County, but he will be stopping by the Spotswood tree lighting as well courtesy of the Spotswood Fire Department.
