MILLTOWN, NJ - Area public libraries remain closed to the public, but borough residents can still find some great summer reads with curbside pickup at the Milltown Public Library. Library cardholders can place Milltown Public Library materials on hold and arrange for pickup. Only Milltown Library materials can be placed on hold. The reciprocal sharing services with other area libraries is currently unavailable.
Milltown Library patrons can also utilize the library's digital services. Library materials can be returned to the outdoor bin. Updates as to the reopening of the Milltown Library will be made available to the public on the Milltown Public Library's website and Facebook page.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy allowed for the reopening of Garden State libraries at 25 percent capacity on July 2 providing facilities follow the stated guidelines that include face coverings and social distancing requirements. Most Middlesex County libraries including Milltown, Spotswood, East Brunswick, South Brunswick and Old Bridge remain closed to the public, but are offering curbside pickup of library materials and virtual programming for patrons.
