SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The New Jersey Center of Dance in Old Bridge is hosting a comedy show on Saturday, January 18 at the Spotswood Knights of Columbus. The event is a fundraiser to help the dance team get to nationals in Lake George, New York. Tickets are $25 for the event that features a lineup of talented comics. All of the proceeds from the show go towards helping the dance team perform in upstate New York this summer.

JP Justice is hosting the event. Justice has appeared at the Uptown Comedy Club, Showtime at the Apollo, Comic View and the Original Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. He has opened for an array of famous comedians such as Chris Rock, Paul Mooney, Bernie Mac, LL Cool J and Tommy Davidson. Next weekend's show also includes local comedian Ken Krantz. Krantz is from East Brunswick. The show is headlined by Joseph Vecsey. Vecsey is best known for his work in several Adam Sandler movies as well as his appearances in Optimum mover commercials. New York's Rey Pinder will also be performing on January 18.

The evening of comedy also includes a 50/50 raffle and a cash bar. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the laughs start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased electronically. For additional information on the upcoming event, email
