SPOTSWOOD, NJ - If there's a silver lining somewhere in the coronavirus pandemic, it's the fact that cat and dog adoptions are up. With many people now working from home, more and more have opened their hearts to bringing pets into their households. From dogs to kitties to birds and bunnies, furry and feathered friends are helping a lot of folks cope with the stresses of living through a pandemic. Whether you are a new pet owner or have long had fur-babies in your household, it's time to share those adorable faces.

To showcase those cuties around the borough, the Spotswood Recreation Department is hosting a 2021 Valentine's Day Pet Photo Contest. Residents are invited to send a photo of their adorable pet or pets to the Spotswood Recreation Department by emailing spotswoodrec@spotswoodboro.com. Photos must be emailed by Sunday, February 7. Winners will be announced on Monday, February 15.
