SPOTSWOOD, NJ - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy didn't cancel Halloween in his press briefing Monday, but Halloween 2020 does need to be reinvented a little bit because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Spotswood Recreation Department is doing their part by holding a Pumpkin Patch Pickup on Saturday, October 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Memorial Middle School. Spotswood residents can pick up a pumpkin to decorate and put in their window or in the front of their house for display. Photos of the pumpkins can be emailed to the Spotswood Recreation Department at for a special virtual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The deadline for pumpkin pictures is November 1 and prizes will be awarded.

Residents picking up a pumpkin to decorate on October 17 should enter on North Street.
