SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Residents looking to beat the heat can head to the Spotswood Public Library for free summer movies. The library, which also serves as one of the borough's cooling centers, shows movies on Mondays and Fridays.

All Monday movies are shown at 1:30 p.m. and are generally more geared toward teens and adults. The remaining July Monday summer movie schedule is as follows:

  • July 15 - "Captain Marvel"
  • July 22 - "Greta"
  • July 29 - "Captive State"

Friday movies are kid-centered and relate to the summer reading theme, which is the universe this year. Movies begin at 2 p.m. The summer schedule is as follows:

  • July 19 - "Monsters Vs. Aliens"
  • July 26 - "Super Buddies"
  • August 2 - "WALL-E
  • August 9 - "Space Jam"

Registration is not required for Monday or Friday movie times. The Spotswood Public Library is located at 548 Main Street.
