SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Looking for a job in the digital age is a far cry from scouring the want ads. The Spotswood Public Library is offering a three-part workshop designed to help potential job seekers learn the necessary digital skills to land employment. Registration is required and opens on Saturday, February 1. Participants must have a Google account. Space is limited so interested residents are encouraged to sign up early.

Workshops will be held on Thursday, March 12, Thursday, March 19 and Thursday, March 26 at 2 p.m. All participants will have access to the internet on a laptop. Participants should bring their own Wi-Fi enabled laptop if possible. If patrons do not have their own laptop, access to a library device will be provided. The workshops will utilize Google Digital Tools to assist participants in starting a resume, editing a resume and writing a cover letter. All lessons will be viewed on a large screen television and a facilitator will be on hand to assist participants.

If any participants are not currently comfortable conducting a Google search or sending an email, they are encouraged by the library staff to sign up for a one-on-one Tech-by-Appointment meeting.

On February 1, registration for the Digital Skills for Job Hunters workshop can be done online at the Spotswood Public Library website, be telephoning the library at 732-251-1515 or in person at the libary's circulation desk.
