SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Back-to-School nights are a September staple. This year due to the unprecedented virtual return to school because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Spotswood School District is holding back-to-school nights via Zoom on the following dates:

  • Memorial - Monday, September 7
  • Appleby - Thursday, September 10
  • Schoenly - Monday, September 14
  • Spotswood High School - Thursday, September 17

Each building principal will email Zoom links and back-to-school night start times to parents in the upcoming days.

Spotswood School District students make a virtual return to school on Wednesday, September 2. Students will learn remotely until the district moves to a hybrid model on September 21. Parents do have the option to opt out of the hybrid model if they choose. Spotswood is among several Middlesex County school districts beginning the 2020-21 academic year virtually. Milltown, Old Bridge, Edison, Highland Park, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, South Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Piscataway, South Brunswick and South Plainfield have announced plans to open the 2020-21 academic year virtually with the possibility of moving to a hybrid model at some point in the school year.
