SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Spotswood School District Superintendent Graham Peabody announced on Friday through a mass email to parents that the district would remain closed through Sunday, May 17. The closure includes all after school activities, extracurriculars and athletics. Peabody's announcement comes on the heels of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy's statement at his daily press conference on Thursday that Garden State schools would remain closed until May 15. Murphy said that the decision to reopen districts across the state cannot be fueled by "emotion." Spotswood School District school continue remote learning for at least the next four weeks. The district has been closed since Friday, March 13 because of the coronavirus crisis.
