MILLTOWN, NJ - The Milltown School District joins the growing number of New Jersey school district closing due to the alarming spread of the coronavirus in the Garden State. Milltown students will begin remote learning on Monday, March 16. Distance learning will run through Friday, March 20 at this time. School buildings will remain open to allow for meetings, practices and other regular business practices during next week. Parents will receive more information from their child's school and teachers regarding daily attendance and instruction procedures.

New Jersey currently has 50 presumptive positive cases with 21 new ones being reported today. Friday's total was the highest since the Garden State reported its first case. One death has been reported in New Jersey. New Jersey State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli did not provide specific information on the new cases reported on March 13. However, Bergen County has the highest number or presumptive positive cases with 19.
