SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Spotswood High School senior Jeremiah Hayes is an avid runner. He has been a member of the Chargers cross-country and winter and spring track teams during his time at Spotswood High School. He was recognized as one of the high school's Senior Athletes of the Month last November. The Milltown native was also a part of TEAMS during his four years at SHS.

TEAMS is an extracurricular club that is designed to help middle and high school students explore engineering. There is an annual competition at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in March. One of Hayes' favorite memory as a Charger is last year's TEAMS competition.

Hayes' top class at Spotswood High School is AP Computer Science which is also taught by his favorite teacher, Gary Hull. In the fall, he is headed to North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He plans on studying engineering.

The coronavirus pandemic has impacted the Class of 2020's final year at Spotswood High School. Hayes misses his classmates and is excited and hopeful he will get the opportunity to see them again soon.
